L'aventure commence en 1924

Our Story

The Meubles Loizeau adventure began in 1924, in La Romagne, and continues today with the same passion for finely crafted wood.

In 1924, Gaston Loizeau set up his tools at number 14, rue Nationale, in La Romagne. He was returning from Reims, where, after rigorously learning his craft in the Choletais region, he had helped rebuild post-war France. A pioneer, he launched his business in a region that would become a French furniture-making reference. With shavings flying under his plane and the scent of fresh wood in the air, Gaston the cabinet maker built wardrobes, tables, chests, beds and sideboards.

Many cabinet makers have grown up at Meubles Loizeau, including Dominique and Sébastien who decided to revive the workshop in 2025. They are joined by Jason, fourth generation of the Loizeau family. Together, they keep the craftsmanship of the centuries-old Meubles Loizeau brand alive every day.
